I'm curious about if there are any potential problems with using LVM
metadevices as ZFS zpool targets. I have a couple of situations where using a
device directly by ZFS causes errors on the console about Bus and lots of
stalled I/O. But as soon as I wrap that device inside an LVM metadevice
My 2 cents ... read somewhere that you should not be running LVM on top of ZFS
... something about additional overhead.

Hi folks,
I need to manage volumes like LVM does on Linux or AIX, and I think that
ZFS can solve this issue.
I read the SVM specification and certainly it doesn't will be the
solution that I'll adopt. I don't have Veritas here.
I created a pool with name black and a volume lv00, then created

Hey Thiago,
SVM is a direct replacement for LVM. Also, you'll notice about a 30%
performance boost if you move from LVM to SVM. At least we did when we
moved a couple of years ago.
