| Overview: |
| The Software Engineer will be a key member of a dynamic software engineering team creating software systems for the Genomic Health personalized medicine healthcare laboratory. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, integrating, and deploying custom web-based order entry, customer relationship management (CRM), shipment, workflow, electronic data interchange, patient report generation, and related data-processing systems. The Software Engineer will work closely with interdisciplinary teams. This position offers significant growth potential within an innovative cancer diagnostics company. |
| Responsibilities: |
|
· Participate in collaborative design, implementation, and testing of multi-tier software applications, web services, and database systems using Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, C#, and related tools.
· Use object-oriented techniques and software engineering best practices including design review, code review, unit-testing, and re-factoring. |
| Qualifications: |
|
· Experience with C#, C++, Java, or an equivalent object-oriented language. Hands-on project experience using Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, web services, and Microsoft Visual Studio is strongly desired.
· Experience with object oriented design.
· Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
· Focused on delivering high quality solutions.
· Demonstrated aptitude to effectively learn and master new software development technologies, platforms, and tools.
· Experience with XML, XSLT, and database design is desired. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent with 3+ years proven project experience required |
