I have the following immediate need:
Role: Storage Architect /Storage Operations Resident
Location: Bothell, WA
Duration: 9 months
The environment is primarily DMX, some CX. Hosts are HP, Sun, Windows. The SAN is primarily Cisco.
- Provides technical leadership and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a delivered on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for ongoing management of configuration and layout of storage infrastructure.
- Shares ownership of operational responsibility for storage provisioning and availability at the customer site(s) with the Customer Storage Manager.
- Provisions storage based on standardized procedures detailed in the Operational Run Book and to meet customer agreed upon standards.
- Designs data migration architecture as required.
- Performs necessary data migration as required and defined by EMC's migration practices.
- Generate Regular operations reports using customer supplied tools, such as EMC Control Center.
- Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable. Trained in EMC storage operations
- Provides analysis of Environment and Best Practice knowledge transfer.
- The Storage Architect/Administrator residents will work as a part of the end-client's storage team supporting ongoing storage operations requirements
