Last weekend I held a presentation about zim at the NLLGG (the dutch Linux
user group). Apart from socializing in real life, I also used the
opportunity to formalize some of my thoughts about zim. For those

Please keep in mind that zim is specific designed to be single user. Just
having multiple users access the same notebook in a share drive may work,
but will break as soon as you start editing the same page.
So for a mostly static notebook it is no problem, but with active editing
you will get

"Just a „notebook“ with text files" - this was actually the reason I choose
zim. I knew none of the tools did exactly what I wanted, so at least I
wanted to be able to run external tools like grep easily.
