I downloaded the modified files and will manually apply the patch to avoid
other problems until I do the real b129 upgrade
Thanks again,

Hi,
I just installed a new opensolaris dev b128a machine from an iso downloaded
from genunix.
I tried to install a zone but it failed:
r...@pasiphae:~# zoneadm -z template install
A ZFS file system has been created for this zone.
Publisher: Using opensolaris.org
Thanks !
Is there a way to get only the modified file (I have a slow internet connection
and getting 1GB of packages for one script is a bit too much) ?

Hi everyone,
I am wondering, as Crossbow is now integrated, does it still make sense to
use Shared IP Zones or is it better to use exclusive-ip zones with a vnic
for each of them.
With a vnic, we can benefit from the bandwidth management and al, but they
may be performance issues...
What do you
Hi everyone,
what happens if I have zones running and I shutdown the machine with a:
shutdown -i5 -g0 -y
Are the zones halted (zoneadm -z zone halt), or a shutdown command is
executed in each running zone?
Another question:
Is there a way to have dependencies between zones (A needs B, so B is
Thanks for your help,

Hello,
I am trying to find some recent information about Live Upgrade and Zones
with zonepath on ZFS. Is it supported now ?
As I could not find enough info, I decided to experiment with VMware.
I am currently testing with snv_95 with ZFS root.
My zone 'test' zonepath is /zones/test (dataset

Hi everyone,
I am currently experimenting with zones on opensolaris snv_77
I did set a default locale in /etc/default/init (in the zone) (ie: en_GB.UTF-8).
If I log into the zone with zlogin testzone, this locale setting is not used
(no LANG or LC_* in env) .
If I log with zlogin -C testzone
