finally, I understood my mistake. I was accessing the search.html page
through a z3c.layer.pagelet.IPageletBrowserLayer (following P. Carduner's
tutorial) without including in configure.zcml:
include package=z3c.pagelet file=meta.zcml /
include package=z3c.pagelet /
