 From the Editor:

by Sara Cushman, Assistant Site Editor

How does your salary compare to other DBAs, database developers, managers, and consultants? Do certifications matter? Experts in which DBMS product make the most money? How do salaries in database-related fields vary across the globe?

Help us determine the answer to these questions by taking the brand new summer/fall edition of our interactive salary survey. The survey is completely anonymous. All you have to do to fill it out is become a registered member of SearchDatabase. If you are already a member, click here to begin.

It only takes a few minutes, and once you've answered your questions, you can immediately view the overall results. Check out minimum, maximum and average salaries in the industry. Once at least 100 people have completed the questionnaire, more information will be available: e.g., how compensation compares in regions around the world, as well as a breakdown of salaries, job titles and certifications.

If you're curious about how some factor not on the current survey correlates with salary, let us know, and we'll try to include it in the next version.

Thanks, and have a great week,
Sara
