TRENDMICRO HAS A "P"ROBLEM | CNET Users of TrendMicro antispam software, including ScanMail for Lotus Notes and ScanMail for Exchange, may have fallen prey to a bug. The software blocked and quarantined all incoming and outgoing messages containing the letter "P." TrendMicro has fixed the problem and posted a patch on its Web site. INTERNET STANDARDS GROUP HAS ANTI-SPAM STRATEGY | InternetWeek The Anti-Spam Research Group (ASRG), an affiliate of the Internet Engineering Task Force, proposes several initiatives to fight spam. It is pushing for simple e-mail authentication to make it tougher for spammers to hide behind fake sender addresses, reputation systems similar to what eBay uses to let people cooperate in identifying spammers and client-side interfaces to let end users report spam.
