The feature allows internal staff to monitor the content of all user Notes mail for compliance, audit and legal purposes. (TLCC) has rolled out a new course for developers with JavaScript in Notes and Domino 6. Users will learn the fundamental building blocks of the core JavaScript language, its syntax and how it relates to HTML. Next, they will become familiar with the JavaScript Object Model and how JavaScript employs object-oriented programming techniques for working with information on Web pages. The student will use client-side JavaScript objects, methods and events to create interfaces for their Domino applications. Other skills include recreating Notes client features that Domino cannot port to Web browsers such as dialog boxes and opening windows. The JavaScript for Notes Domino 6 course is $499 for a single user license. Also from TLCC is a new course called Intermediate Java Programming for Notes Domino 6. Students learn how to use the core Java classes to work with strings, numbers, vectors, arrays, and to read and write information from the hard drive and the Internet. Other topics include Web application techniques like performing field validation, preventing multiple submissions of incomplete forms, and passing data using URL variables. Students will build a Web-based order form that can hold multiple items. The course teaches how to use the Domino Objects for Java classes to access and work with Notes items, rich text items, documents, views, view entries and document collections. http://www.tlcc.com/admin/home2.nsf/pages/r6courses COOLIDGE ISSUES TWO NEW DOMINO AUDIT TOOLS | Coolidge Development Coolidge Development in Tewksbury, Mass., has released Server Audit Pro V1.5 and PC Audit Pro V1.5, Notes-native applications aimed at both administrators and application developers managing in Domino environments. The Net is turning into both the aisle and the altar in Russia. The government, in an effort to get more Russians to use the Web, has launched the Electronic Russia initiative. And, evidently, getting with the e-age means getting e-hitched. In the works is a new online wedding service, wherein an electronic pastor asks the questions, the couple says their "I dos" and hits "send." Makes a visit to the Justice of the Peace look like a storybook wedding. Electronic Russia officials are still trying to figure out how to get legally binding signatures from the couples.
