Portlet targets project management for Workplace
Genius Inside announced a project management portlet that runs on the Lotus Workplace/WebSphere Portal Server platform. The Genius Enterprise Project suite comprises of products that offer Web-based project management capabilities to Domino users. The Timesheet module allows team members or external consultants to register daily and weekly hours spent on specific tasks and/or customer engagement modifications.
With the product, information is filtered into a project plan and managers can view, on demand, actual hours spent on tasks versus forecasts. By converting the Timesheet module to a portlet, users benefit from a single sign on; integration of data with other concurrent applications, such as financial, human resource, and other portlets; and gain a three-dimensional view of this and other data from the desktop. Genius Inside is currently porting other GEP modules to Workplace and plans to have
these additional modules available early next year.
