"Sun expands developer discount program's hardware line" 
There's more stuff available through the Sun Developer Hardware
Program. Discounts on Sun Blade 1000 and Sun Fire 280R servers as
well as the Cobalt line of server appliances are now part of the
program.

Sun is out; IBM is in at Terra Lycos. The Internet company has
enlisted Big Blue to supply hardware and support for the next two
years. Terra Lycos is switching from Sun and Compaq products, saying
it would rather deal with one vendor.

[4] "Justice Department asks court to deny Microsoft rehearing"
Uncle Sam's lawyers along with the 18 state attorneys general facing
off with Microsoft have officially asked the U.S. Court of Appeals to
shoot down Redmond's request for a rehearing. Last week, Microsoft
asked the court to have another listen to the part of the case that
involved the relationship between Internet Explorer Web browser code
and Windows.
