The company is also working on a tool that will monitor its own, as well as Hitachi's storage products; a suite with new features for predictive trending, custom reports, and financial applications support; and another set of tools for data replication across data centers. SOLARIS 9 TO DRIVE FUJITSU SERVERS | ZDNet Fujitsu Technology Solutions is down with Solaris 9. The company's Primepower servers, which use Sparc64 GP processors, support Solaris 9 and the software that goes with it. Fujitsu officials said they're pleased with the tougher security Solaris 9 brings. ZANDER: HP MERGER GIVES SUN AN EDGE | ZDNet Sun's soon to be former president said this week that the HP/Compaq merger means bright days ahead for Sun. Ed Zander announced several HP customers are now shopping around and want to see what Sun has to offer, thanks to HP/Compaq's "narrowing focus" and waffling.
