The panel will have to make a decision about Sun -- the company declined an invite earlier because it felt it didn't have an important enough role. IBM, a WS-I founder, wants Sun to join (ostensibly for Java-related reasons), but Sun officials say they want a "founding member" status or nothing. Microsoft is another founding member. AMBUGUITY SURROUNDS WEB SERVICES MANAGEMENT | SearchWebServices The number of startups offering Web services management tools seems to increase daily, but today's need for those tools seems unclear as most companies are only beginning to experiment with Web services. Triumph the Insult Comic Dog was, um, showing the audience which dog was boss. Poor thing has been the "scapedog" of the whole dot-com meltdown! But the puppet, who tucked his tail and retreated to the doghouse after the Pets.com penthouse came crashing down in 2000, has wiped the dot-com fallout off his nose and is making a comeback. He's the mascot of an American car loan firm that markets loans to people with bad credit. "Everyone deserves a second chance," he woofs. Maybe his story will bring FogDog's feist back out of his kennel.
