Two of Sun's least favorite firms helped develop the spec: Microsoft and IBM. SUN, BEA, OTHERS PUBLISH NEW WEB SERVICES SPEC | CRN Sun's ONE of several firms, including BEA, Intalio and SAP, that have unveiled a new XML-based specification to ease Web services interoperability. The spec is called the "Web Service Choreography Interface" (WSCI), and it provides an interface that describes the flow of messages of a Web service. WEBSPHERE CHIEF: WEB SERVICES MOVEMENT JUST BEGINNING Donald Ferguson, an IBM chief architect and inventor of the WebSphere platform, said at Web Services Edge 2002 that the Web services movement has only just begun and that it will soon be even more meaningful than it is today.
