SUN TO PUSH STAROFFICE FOR APPLE'S OS X | CNET StarOffice is the apple of Sun's eye, and it may be the apple of Apple's eye too. Sun and Apple are working on versions of StarOffice and OpenOffice for Mac OS X. A Sun official said you can expect OpenOffice to run on OS X by the end of the year with the StarOffice version ready in 2003. It's another way the two firms can take a jab at the rotten apple of their eyes -- Microsoft. SUN LANDS BIG TELESTRA CONTRACT | Reuters Sun is going Down ... Under. The company has inked a deal to provide Australia's big telecom Telstra with hardware and software to get its forthcoming online services and data network going. The deal could mean hundreds of millions of dollars for Sun.
