LINUXWORLD: SOLARIS FOR INTEL TO RETURN ON NEW SUN SERVER | IDG News 

Don't write off Solaris on Intel just yet. Sun reportedly will use
next month's LinuxWorld conference to talk about its about-face on
the whole Intel issue. Sun will also let the Big Bear out of the bag
-- that's Sun's server built to run Linux on Intel.

SUN CONSIDERS MESSAGING AND DATABASE MOVE | ComputerWire
Sun reportedly is making a foray into the fray -- the company is
talking about making a move in the database and messaging markets.

SUN TO PUSH STAROFFICE FOR APPLE'S OS X | CNET
StarOffice is the apple of Sun's eye, and it may be the apple of
Apple's eye too. Sun and Apple are working on versions of StarOffice
and OpenOffice for Mac OS X. A Sun official said you can expect
OpenOffice to run on OS X by the end of the year with the StarOffice
version ready in 2003. It's another way the two firms can take a jab
at the rotten apple of their eyes -- Microsoft.

SUN LANDS BIG TELESTRA CONTRACT | Reuters
Sun is going Down ... Under. The company has inked a deal to provide
Australia's big telecom Telstra with hardware and software to get its
forthcoming online services and data network going. The deal could
mean hundreds of millions of dollars for Sun.

SANGATE TO DEBUT PORTABLE DEDICATED DATA MIGRATION APPLIANCE
SANgate Systems enters the market with its first product -- a
portable dedicated data migration appliance. The unit supports the
