Hi, seapiggies! If you're not in a position to recruit employees, feel
free (but not obliged) to delete now.

A long-time denizen of this list, I'm a "Python Preferred" (my GPL slogan)
"math/stats" programmer who's been toiling away the past three years in
MATLAB and SQL Server (with a smidgen of Python early on) in a Project
position with the Washington State Department of Ecology. The Project is
in its denouement, so (to mix and excessively extend metaphors) its
protagonist (moi) is looking for new plots to foil.

My professional life (since 2002) may be perused
here<http://www.linkedin.com/pub/david-goldsmith/11/124/4a9>;
perhaps the one under-represented thing there is that I have a lot of
recent experience working with SQL Server via (mostly) SQL Server
Management Studio and MATLAB's database toolbox.

I seek full-time, permanent, highly mathematical/statistical programming
opportunities, preferably using Python (of course), and preferably in the
Seattle/Portland I-5 corridor. My target salary is ~50$/hr (as an
order-of-magnitude--I'd prefer a salaried, not an hourly, position),
acceptable variation depending on both the position responsibilities and
benefits. Aside from that, I'm pretty open: my interests run the gamut
from finance through biosci, as well as the more traditional targets of
engineering, physical science, and mathematics; about my only "deal
breaker" is exclusively or primarily military applications (yes, I'm a
peace-nik)--basically, if it involves computational math/stat modeling, I'm
interested.

Thanks for reading, and please let me know of any relevant opportunities of
which you may become aware.

PS: Oh, and my (soft) available date is July 1, 2013.
