Note that he said "optimize" - if you dont mind a non-optimized LAPACK,
etc, then at least the core libs are pretty easy (VTK still a pain...)

The major projects provide binaries, and if you're on Windows, Chris
Gohlke's repository is AMAZING, and if you're on OS-X or linux, most stuff
builds pretty easily out of the box (if you only need it to run on your
machine...)
