We create REST APIs, and other web based internal tools that facilitate or
automate operations.  We often integrate with other enterprise tools,
services and even 3rd parties.

Specialization is for insects.  We will expect you to:

   -

   Develop Software (primarily in Python)
   -

   Learn and Follow our Process which is based on Agile and Lean
   -

   Lead and Manage Projects from conception to deployment
   -

   Act as a Technical Consultant and occasional Architect
   -

   Know the basics of Unix System Administration
   -

   Constantly Collaborate and Communicate in and outside the team
   -

   Help maintain our development infrastructure
   -

   Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms and metaprogramming
   -

   Learn, grow, adapt


Our software development involves:

   -

   Acceptance Test Driven Development
   -

   Remote development through VPN and a Jump Server over SSH only
   -

   Turning around features and bug fixes (including automated tests) on
   average in 1-2 days (yes, we are that fast)
   -

   Carding (Feature Decomposition and Estimation)
   -

   Continuous Integration
   -

   Group Ownership and Individual Responsibility
   -

   Emergent Design

   Continuous Improvement


The ideal candidate will

   -

   Know VIM, Emacs or another editor/setup that allows you to develop
   remotely over SSH
   -

   Have experience with with RedHat Linux and Windows Server
   -

   Have experience with multiple programming languages
   -

   Have experience with meta programming
   -

   Be familiar with Agile and Lean or Kanban
   -

   Be comfortable in a command line environment
   -

   Be driven to get work done in a timely fashion
   -

   Be open to learning and actively participating in our process
