Me personally I would use post 'em notes with some kind of a newsprint pad if a 
larger writing surface was needed.

I think finding a white board is going to be a bigger pain if it's going to be 
impromptu at a moving location.


Any glass surface will work just like a white board with most of those markers 
and clean up.

But that idea might upset who ever owns the glass being written on.
