I'm having Zip Drive weirdness going on. I'm sure it's something simple, but
I've been through the ZIP HOWTO and getting nowhere.

In /etc/fstab the zip drive is listed as:
/dev/hdd4 /mnt/zip100.0 auto noauto,owner,kudzu 0 0

When I try to mount via command line or GUI, I keep getting:
/dev/hdd4 I/O error - you must specify the filesystem type.

Okay....formatted disk using Winblows 98 then tried:
prompt# mount -t vfat /dev/hdd4 /mnt/zip100.0 (also tried with msdos fs
type)
receive error:
mount: wrong fstype, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdd4

Okay....mkfs with ext2
prompt# mkfs -t ext2 -c /dev/hdd4
sets up filesystem parameters then checks for bad blocks.
tells me "Bad block 0 out of range;ignored" as it checks blocks.
Then I get:
"Block 1 in primary superblock/group descriptor area bad.
Blocks 1 through 3 must be good in order to build a filesystem.
Aborting.... "
I've tried this on three different zip disks, so I find it hard to believe
that I have three bad disks.

Any help or direction to documentation would be greatly appreciated.
