upgrading Glibc from 7.1 to rawhide

I would like to upgrade the glibc library but I'm kind of scared that it will 
break my system.
Is there any "easy" way to do this?

Doing a rpm -U wouldn't work I guess because of dependencies

Help is much appreciated!
