new imapd packages errors, or virus related problems?

Hi!

I updated (with up2date -u) to the latest released imapd, procmail and 
openssl packages, and since then, my lusers are having problems getting 
their email, with outlook clients.

I get the following errors for their mailboxes in /var/log/maillog :

Jul 19 17:41:42 hostname ipop3d[735]: Can't open INBOX (file 
/var/spool/mail/calo): not in valid mailbox format
Jul 19 17:41:43 hostname ipop3d[735]: Error opening or locking INBOX 
user=calo host=[xxx.xxx.xx.xxx]
Jul 19 17:41:49 hostname ipop3d[739]: Can't open INBOX (file 
/var/spool/mail/calo): not in valid mailbox format
Jul 19 17:41:50 hostname ipop3d[739]: Error opening or locking INBOX 
user=calo host=[xxx.xxx.xx.xxx]


I hadn't seen that error before, and now half of my users can't seem to 
check their email.

Those are the only changes I have made to the system (upgrade imapd, 
openssl, procmail, etc.) but my personal email seems to be working all 
right, but I am using mozilla (*grin*) as mailer, and I get it via imaps 
and not ipop3d. I don't know what to do, what I temporally figured out 
to do is:

mail -f /var/spool/mail/luser

and then do a "q", to "fix" their mailbox, like this example:

You can notice the change of the size in the mailbox file after I go out 
mail with "q", and after that, the luser can retreive his email, for a 
while at least.

So, I don't know if it is an issue with the new packages (I already 
searched bugzilla, "zaroo boogs found") OR the possibility that somehow 
(?) it has something to be with the new virus that appeared like 2 days 
ago, and you can find more at:

Almost all the lusers seem to be infected with that virus... NOW, that 
shouldn't be an issue (shouldn't corruput an INBOX file, or is that 
supossed to happen?).

I don't know what to do, I just keep "fixing" their inboxes manually 
meanwhile, I don't want to downgrade the packages, since they fix 
security issues.
