Hello;
    I would like to know if it is possible to use a scsi DAT 4mm drive to
record/playback music under Linux.

I have seen some fairly inexpensive drives for sale and my son is getting into
recording.
What size would be best? 4/8G or higher. DDs 1/2/3?
He has a 4-track casette recorder and two mixers.
I would like to build him a Linux box with a DAT drive in it.
Would a cd-burner be better? or should he have both?

I have used the old style tape drives but have never used a DAT drive.
Has anyone done this? any advice?
Is DAT dead now that CDR CD/RW is here?

Thank you
       Mick
