Mike, my firewall is getting a nice world tour. I have not finished analyzing
yesterday's attacks. The first and second had about 25% Commie Chinese. The
third had almost none of them and about 30% Korean. I figure I'll have an
amazing number of countries logged before this is done. (And the attack
distribution suggests the Commie Chinese may really be behind the buggerer
and want it to succeed or are utterly clueless. They stepped out once they
were sure there were enough machines seeded. Now the Koreans (and some others
such as one specific Exodus.net site) may be taking advantage of the attack
snowstorm to attack. (That Exodus.bet site attacked about 10 different ports
on my machine.) This could turn into an interesting psychological and
sociological study. (There seem to be a lot of clue less (infected) Swedes
in the world. I get a disproportionate number from there. I also get remarkably
few from the US itself.)
