I got this message in my access_log yesterday and have been trying to
trace what could have been going on.. Any suggestions would be
appreciated:
adsl-80-104-130.jax.bellsouth.net - - [06/Aug/2001:16:39:31 -0400] "GET
http://www.s3.com/ HTTP/1.1" 200 1955 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01;
Windows 98)"
Now, it seems like someone tried to redirect my headers to s3.com, but i'm
not sure why, or what this would have gained them... The interesting thing
is that the http request did yield a 200 response, and not a 404... pretty
soon after that (within about 10 minutes), i got this in my messages log:
Aug 6 16:42:42 thedarksighed modprobe: Note: /etc/modules.conf is more
recent than /lib/modules/2.4.2-2/modules.dep
although i hadn't made any changes to any modules, and i do not, at this
point, have redhat's autoupdate utility enabled.... any suggestions?
