Hi,
I upgraded and rebuild the latest rawhide kernel 2.4.6-3.1 from the
src.rpm and installed it and on the system it was working great.
Anyway after having a feeling someone managed to get into my system
(several directorys of aroung 800mb vanished whilst my pc was on the net
donloading roswell, now i would know if i accidently deleted 800 or so
mb),
i deceided to reinstall all my systems using the kernel i downloaded and
had running previously 2.4.6-3.1.It installed no problems on 2 machines,
but on the machine i actaully compiled and originally installed it on i
keep getting this error:
pivot_root:pivot_root(/sysroot,/sysroot/initrd) failed 2
kernel panik: no init found try passinf init = to kernel
ive tried numerous init options at boot and iam still unable too boot
the kernel on that machine ( ive reinstalled several times and kept
getting this error when i upgrade the kernel)
ive just reinstalled for the last time with the standard kernel and iam
going to recompile it again from src, but has anyone got any ideas?
