Thanks for these relevant advices. Effectively, it looks
like sometimes (not often, the CPU is detected okay) but
most of the boots are just showing a 697.XX MHz processor
being present :-( I've been looking at Bios (V2.00) setup
and nothing shows up about "power management hardware" :
Long life mode (battery) = disabled
Low battery alarm = enabled
Panel close alarm = enabled
System beep = enabled
Note also that apm is not supported at all on this model:
