I'm having a bit of a problem logging in via FTP to my 7.1, fully updated
system.
ftpd answers, and allows me to try to log in. However, after putting in
my user name and correct password, it comes back telling me:
220 burgers.bubbanfriends.org FTP server (Version wu-2.6.1-16) ready.
Name (localhost:mburger):
331 Password required for mburger.
Password:
530 Login incorrect.
Login failed.
ftp>
Are there any known bugs in the 7.1 implementation of wu-ftpd, that would
be causing this problem, or should I be looking at something else?
Is it possible that this version of wu-ftpd was not compiled with
shadow password capabilities?
Ideas, answers and suggestions would be most welcome.
