I've just installed Seawolf 7.1 and accepted the no firewall option
for lokkit. It's a single ethernet box on a proivate network behind a
firewall...
I don't nothing else to it.... tried a telnet to the system..

But I find nothing, and I mean nothing is accepted....

So I run lokkit from the command and find that maximum security
is in place :-( I change it to no firewall, save and reboot....
still no access.

I try setup run as root in a command window... and select the firewall
option... it's still
maximum, so chnage it again.... no luck.

I tru gnome-lokkit (just installed it) and again no luck.

What is with lokkit and why is it not allowing anything to operate on
the eth0 interface from another system ?

Can anyone advise ?

There is no lokkit man page, no docs, the lokkit page has... well no
doc's their either.

I've opened up hosts.allow to the whole local network...
everything else appears to be working fine...

I can't even find where the firewall is supposed to be writing the
firewall rules !

Having used redHat since 3.0.3 I don't normally do this but... help ?

Regards,

Dominic Baines
