Are you getting a mac address of FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF? If so, your bug may be
similar to Bugzilla #50688. Try upgrading your kernel to the rawhide
kernel-2.4.9-0.5 and see if that fixes things for you. You may need some
other upgrades as well, like kernel-pcmcia-cs-2.4.9-0.5 and any
dependencies.
