Add the 'user' option to /etc/fstab for any filesystems
you want to let users mount and unmount.

You may also need to add modprobe commands to /etc/rc.modules, in the
correct order for the sparc.  At least for the paralell port sparc
I had to.  Haven't used my sparc since RH5.2 since I got a cd burner
though, so I hope this is still useful info.
