Hello everyone. I'm having a strange problem with my snmpd deamon. The server runs the Bastille-firewall project and i have configured it to open ports 161, 162. The servers has 4 nics. One for the internet and 3 for the LAN. And then i configured the snmpd.conf file as below :
com2sec local localhost public com2sec local publicip public com2sec local 10.100.0.9 public com2sec local 10.100.2.9 public com2sec local 10.100.4.9 public group MyROGroup v1 local group MyROGroup v2c local group MyROGroup usm local view all included .1 80 access MyROGroup "" any noauth exact all none none This is a very basic setup. To basic i think. hmmm ;0) Well, the problem is when i try to do "snmpwalk publicip public" from other server on the internet it gives me "no respone". Also if i try to do it on the internal lan "snmpwalk 10.100.0.9 public" "snmpwalk 10.100.2.9 public" "snmpwalk 10.100.4.9 public" And i also tried to disable the firewall and, still nothing happens. Can anyone give me a hint, or tell me what is going on with this. Any comments and suggestions apriciated. Thanks for your time.
