Here's my own little mini-Howto to get WPO2000 running with RedHat 7.1: To install and get WordPerfect Office 2000 for linux running on RedHat 7.1: 1. Install ncurses4-5.0-2.i386.rpm from the RedHat 7.1 CD's 2. Download and run Corel's install script: ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/linux/Office2000/update/installscript/install.tar tar xvf install.tar ./install 3. Get the updated libaps from Corel: http://linux.corel.com/support/update_libaps.htm And install the libaps: rpm -Uvh libaps-1.0-1568.0.i386.rpm 4. Get Michael Torrie's corelwine update (unsupported by Corel, but works better): http://students.cs.byu.edu/~torriem/linux/ and install them: rpm -Uvh corelwine-cvs-0.1-1.i386.rpm 5. At this point, WPO2000 should run fine. 6. Optional: This was mentioned in the newsgroup for WPO2000 for linux, but I did not have to do this Add the line: FontPath "tcp/localhost:7102" to both the /etc/X11/XF86Config and the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 scripts. This was mentioned as a fix to get the fontastic font server to run, but mine is running without the lines added to my scripts. 7. Known problems I encountered: When opening any of the WP apps from the lower right quadrant window in gnome, the title bar is off the top of the window. The workaround was to open the app in the upper left quadrant, and move it down about half an inch, then save a file. Then you can open the same app in any quadrant, and the title bar will be in reach.
