After updating my system with all the latest packages
as of October 19th., kernel-2.4.9 , glibc-2.2.4 and
accompanying files. It appears that file lookup on NFS
mounted volumes is broken.
File completion in bash or tcsh will not work, Pine doesn't
think I have any mailboxes any longer, file selection boxes
come up with empty lists. Doing an 'ls' on these directories
work, but not 'ls *.rpm' for example. Spelling out the correct
file name will make programs accept it as an argument.
It only affects NFS mounted volumes, local filesystems work
as normal. Going back to 2.4.3 makes the problem go away.
Anyone else seen this?
Thomas
