I'm running ext3 and LVM (kernel 2.4.12-ac5 plus LVM patches) on a
couple off Seawolf machines. I used a few packages from Roswell2 and
Rawhide (when the Roswell packages weren't recent enough). You can
probably do it all with Enigma packages now. I updated the following
packages to satisfy dependencies in later Rawhide kernels:

bash-2.05-8
setup-2.5.7-1
filesystem-2.1.5-2
mkinitrd-3.2.6-1
mount-2.11g-5
util-linux-2.11f-9
e2fsprogs-1.25-1uh (locally built)
e2fsprogs-devel 1.25-1uh (locally built)
modutils-2.4.10-1

You can probably get by with the Enigma e2fsprogs and the kernel from
the recent erratum.

Then I installed:

lvm-base-1.1-1
lvm-iop10-1.0.1_rc4-4uh
lvm-iop10-lib-1.0.1_rc4-4uh
lvm-iop10-man-1.0.1_rc4-4uh
kernel-2.4.12ac5_smp_lvm_uh_1-2

but you shouldn't need any of this.
