I have been running a DNS server for a long time on my linux
server. The server is currently runnin kernel 2.4.3-12 soon to be
upgraded to RH 7.2.
The following error messages have been appearing in /var/log/messages:
Oct 21 ...: client 128.148.116.53#4754: update denied
Oct 21 ...: client 128.148.124.18#2899: update denied
Oct 21 ...: client 141.154.78.42:#1007 update denied
Oct 21 ...: dynamic update failed: 'RRset exists (value dependent)'
prerequisite not satisfied (NXRRSET)
The 141.154.78.42 is not a member of our networks.
A "dig" lookup for the top two entries look fine.
What resources are available to explain/resolve the problem I
am seeing? I have "DNS and BIND" b o'Reilly & Associates, Inc.
