Perhaps.  It may be possible that the kernel from the recent erratum
will have support; I don't really know when the support came in.

The config help for "Highpoint 370 software RAID" says:

CONFIG_BLK_DEV_ATARAID_HPT:

Say Y or M if you have a Highpoint HPT 370 Raid controller
and want linux to use the softwareraid feature of this card.
This driver uses /dev/ataraid/dXpY (X and Y numbers) as device
names.

If you choose to compile this as a module, the module will be called
hptraid.o.

So look for hptraid.o in the RPM (rpm -qlp kernel-2.4* | grep hptraid).
