I am installing the glibc updates with the command
rpm -Fvh $base/os/$(rpm -q --queryformat '%{ARCH}'
glibc)/glibc-2.2.4-19.i686.rpm
$base/os/i386/glibc-common-2.2.4-19.i386.rpm
$base/os/i386/glibc-devel-2.2.4-19.i386.rpm
$base/os/i386/glibc-profile-2.2.4-19.i386.rpm
$base/os/i386/nscd-2.2.4-19.i386.rpm
where $base is the root of my local 7.1 update tree. The system is
running Red Hat 7.1 with kernel 2.4.3-12 and with updates up to
RHBA-2001:121-06 already installed. Running the command produces:
Preparing... ###########################################

Are the error messages anything to worry about?
Thanks,
