Run authconfig.... and also make sure you have a host/dns entry for your
nis/nis+ server.

Subject: Help:how to make ypbind run at boot??

Thank you steven for the reply. We reinstalled the NIS packages and seems to
work a little bit.

But I get the following error message when I start up the system...

ypbind listening to server....[FAILED]

After the system starts up,and we restart the ypbind and portmap...its
working fine(like ypcat ypasswd displays the passwd file on server).

What could be the problem with this??.

Thanks,
Laxman.
