Hi,

/etc/modules.conf is where you should list modules to be loaded.  Is
your writer working?  My modules get loaded automatically when needed
(a function of kmod AFAIK).

I think the necessary modules are (but check the relevant
CD-WRITING-HOWTO to be sure) ide-scsi and scsi_mod.
