Are you running a firewall on Linux 2?  If so, you will need to add
forwarding rules.)

How did you enable IP forwarding on Linux 2?  (sysctl -w
net.ipv4.ip_forward=1 or editing /etc/sysctl.conf are the preferred
methods.)
