You could fix your tripwire configuration, so it works. ;) Note that 
although it is probably generating a lot of warnings about file system 
errors, at least it is monitoring the files it is configured for (at 
least the ones that exist on your system). Useful only if you are 
actually reading the report emails, of course. ;)

Failing that, move the file /etc/cron.daily/tripwire-check someplace out 
of the way, so it doesn't get run every morning. You do of course loose 
the benefit of having tripwire watching after your system.
