Perhaps the most compreshensive thing I have ever seen (and some of this is overkill) is David Ranch's Trinity OS <http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~dranch/LINUX/TrinityOS/cHTML/TrinityOS-c.html> - this is the 'current' version which is probably what you want to look at with RedHat 7.1 & ipchains. You need to check out his firewall rulesets (I think it is chapter 10.7) because each time you ip connection goes up and down, a series of scripts will have to run to set /etc/resolv.conf which as you can see, automatically happens anyway. I think it would probably just be easier to forget serving dns and just use a distributed lists of hosts/lmhosts files on the local lan and have dns simply point out to the internet connection dns server - forget about forwarders, etc. Craig _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
