Hi all,
Here is the requirement :
I have hostA working with eth0 IPaddress '11.11.11.11' which
contacts hostB '33.33.33.33' and exhanges information.(hostA
initiated process) HostB contacts hostA also(hostB initiated process).
There are no static routes defined in either of hostA or hostB.
Now, I have another link to the Internet and I can install
interface eth1 in hostA and assign IP, 22.22.22.22 to hostA.
The networks, '11.11.11' and '22.22.22' are obtained from
two different carriers and we use TWO different Cisco routers
for the uplink.
What will be the best way to get network redundancy
in this case?, ie, under normal circumstances, hostA should
use eth0 ('11.11.11.11') to contact hostB and it will use
eth1(22.22.22.22) only if first link fails.
similarly, how do I tell hostB to contact 11.11.11.11 if it
is available and to contact 22.22.22.22 only if the first one is not
availbvale ?
Thanks in advance for your valuable suggestions.
Best RGDS
Thomas Joseph
