hi again, have now tried out your hint : have unpluged the printer and repluged it, and tail -f /var/log/messages tells me the follwing :
.... kernel : usb.c: USB new device connect on bus 1/2 assigned device number 10 ..... kernel : usb.c USB device not accepting new address = 10 error=10(err=-110) now trying it on plug 2 - the same result with increased address=11 what does this message say or explore ? thanks for helping and ideas bye hans Am Samstag, 6.
