Plese don't take this the wrong way, but how are u calling the uninstall 
process?

If I  want to uninstall say imap-2001a-1.71.0, I would do

rpm -e imap

(generally remove any numbering's from the end and just use the package 
name)

as I said, not knowing what level youre experiance is, I'am sorry if I'm 
point out the Obvious.
