hi, have downloaded glut-3.7 as a tar-file as well as a bin-file from RedHat as an RPM-file. the libs are installed in /usr/lib/libglut.so.3.7 the links was active.
but trying to load the "--with-glut=/usr/lib" into the "./configure" results in the message : "checking for main in -lglut ... no configure:error: No external GLUT found. trying another scenario : downloaded the glut-source, tared it with xvfz have it in /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/glut-3.7 does all the things described in the README of subdirectory /linux but the result is, I doesn't get a libglut.so.3.7 after doing a ./mkmkfiles.imake changing to lib/glut does a make depend make but NO libglut.so.3.7 appears. (have done a updatedb and then a locate libglut.so.3.7, but no result !) now, whats going wrong here ? - or what mistakes I have done ? the origin mailadress : [EMAIL PROTECTED] seems not to be existing, so I'll try it here.
