Hi,

I am running up2date on a 7.1 system. It is telling me that because I have
excluded kernel-smp-(some version) I have a dependency problem. The list of
excluded packages does not have a kernel-smp- package.

I have tried to download one but there is no i386 rpm for it. Is it ok to use
the the i586 rpm for this? The system is a Dell 2600 with a Pentium III.

The kernel and kernel header packages were excluded by up2date. Is it safe to
override these exclusions?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
