Check to see if the time-out is set too short. Sometimes the smtp will get overloaded and the Client will interpret this as an error. Set you smtp time set longer about 30 seconds.

I recently upgraded to version 7, and for some reason when I attempt to send mail out, I get an error which states that I should check my SMTP (outgoing) settings, or that the SMTP server is not accepting connections. I have checked and double check the SMTP server, and it is set correctly. Furthermore, the error is intermittent, I can send mail on the first try, and usually by the 5 attempt, the message is successfully sent. Is there some way I can configure an outbox, so the messages are accepted for delivery, then sent when the SMTP server decides it will take them? It is frustrating to continually click 'send'. The previous version of Netscape was not giving me this error. I think it was 4.76 or so. -- Regards, Shane _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
