Hello Everyone,

In my linux world, we all use kde. When using the latest version of vnc,
we get a gnome desktop with vncviewer entry to remote.

I found out while in the remote gnome desktop, you can use gnome's
desktop switching tool and set kde. That action creates .Xclients and
.Xclients-defaults in your remote user directory. I put (a script) the 2
files in everybodies directories and they are all set for kde.

Something else:
When you start up vncserver, it checks to see if you have /.vnc stuff in
your directory. If it does exist, it will use that stuff. If it doesn't,
it will generate new stuff. This isn't good while your hacking at
vncserver and trying it out. Your results won't get reflected in /.vnc
One important file is .vnc/xstartup

So get rid of /.vnc everytime you try something different with vncserver
that way a new /vnc will get created. I didn't realize this and now I
got crap ./vnc scattered throughout my servers' users. Got to clean them
all out.

Rambling Roy
